Marlborough Community Health Hub services
Marlborough Primary Health (MPH) promotes and supports community health services by leading and coordinating a range of healthcare services to an enrolled population of over 47,000 people across 10 general practices in Blenheim, Havelock, Renwick and Picton.
MPH also supports services provided by Marlborough Urgent Care, and contracts services from Māori and Pasifika healthcare providers.
MPH is located in the Marlborough Community Health Hub, hosting several primary healthcare services available from the hub listed on in the accordion menu below.

This is a free service that provides short-term support for people:
with mild to moderate mental illness
who do not meet the criteria for hospital-level psychiatric services
This service will help you with:
information, advice and support about healthy lifestyles, relationships, parenting
grief counselling
education about mental illness and medications
specific therapies to help you with problem-solving and different ways of thinking, feeling and behaving
alcohol and other drug addiction support
referral to other health or social service agencies

A green prescription is a free 12-week physical activity programme designed to support and encourage you to become more physically active.
You will be offered regular contact with the co-ordinator and weekly group-based activities.

This is a free 6-month community-based programme that supports children / young people and their families to:
become involved in regular physical exercise
learn about healthy eating in a fun and affordable way
set realistic goals
How to access this service
You can refer yourself and your family to this service, or your GP can do it for you. You must be:
5-18 years old
in a stable state of health
inactive or overweight
Children aged four years are eligible if referred through B4 School Checks

While you are enrolled with us, we can refer you and your whānau to offer a comprehensive range of hauora Māori and Pasifika services. These are provided by other organisations, such as Te Piki Oranga and the Marlborough Pacific Trust, through our contracts and relationships with them.

Dietitian or nutritional advice can help you with long-term lifestyle-related conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol and weight-related concerns.
We can refer you to community-based dietitian services.

Self-management is where you develop your knowledge, skills and confidence to make informed decisions and make positive changes. You can be supported to do this and to achieve your goals and overcome barriers.
