Rainbow Ramble 2018

The 3rd Marlborough Primary Health Rainbow Ramble will be held Sunday 11 March 2018.


What is the Marlborough Primary Health Rainbow Ramble:

The Rainbow Ramble is a fun family event along the Taylor River reserve.  Each participant walks/runs the 3km distance from Monro Street carpark to the Henry Street bridge and return and will be splashed with water and coloured powder, to be transformed into a rainbow.


What time is the event:

On the day registrations open from 8.30-9.30am.  The course briefing starts at 9.45am and it is recommended that ALL registered participants attend.

Rainbow Ramble will start at 10am.


Who can enter:

Rainbow Ramble was created to encourage more families to get active together, so it is designed for all fitness levels.


How much does it cost:

There is an entry fee to take part in the event.  This money contributes to the Marlborough Primary Health Active Families Programme and to help cover costs for the Rainbow Ramble.

Get It Moving Photo Competition!

Capture a photo of you and your family or friends getting active this summer – walking, biking, swimming, jumping or just even building a sandcastle on the beach!

And send it to us via email or Facebook to go in the draw to win a family pass to this year’s Rainbow Ramble on Sunday 11th March.

One family pass up for grabs every week – limit of one photo per person, per week.

Conditions:
* By submitting a photo into the Get it Moving Photo Competition, you give consent for Marlborough PHO to use all material sensitively and will respect the right for you to change your mind about giving consent at anytime. However, you understand that Marlborough PHO may not be able to control future use of the material once it is placed in the public domain.
* 1x Family Pass is non-refundable or exchanged for cash or prizes.

How do I register:

Registrations will be made available online or in person.

Online registrations will be open Tuesday 16th January and will close on Tuesday 6th March.  Payment will be required at the time of registering.  Click on the link to register online https://www.eventfinda.co.nz/2018/marlborough-primary-health-rainbow-ramble-2018/blenheim

If you choose to register in person, you can do this at the Marlborough Community Health Hub, 22 Queen Street Blenheim from Thursday 8th February to 9th March.  The Marlborough Community Health Hub opens from 8.30am – 5pm, week days.  Payment will only be available in cash only.


Will there be prizes:

Marlborough Primary Health has been fortunate to have a number of business donate prizes.  Spot prizes will be given away on the day, names will be displayed on a board, near the finish line.

Prizes will not be able to be exchanged.


Where do I park:

We like to encourage Ramble goers to park along the Lee Streets, Brooke Street and surrounding Street and avoid the Monro Street carpark area.  There is no access to the Public to park along the river bank.

Is there a postponement date:

Yes.  The postponement date will be Sunday 18th March and we will advertise on More FM and the Marlborough Primary Health facebook and website pages.

If there is light rain – the event will still be on.

Health and Safety rules:

To ensure we are putting your health and safety needs first, all participants should do there best to adhere to the health and safety rules.  These will be made available on the entry information, please ensure you read them carefully.

It is your responsibility to wear suitable clothing and footwear and bring any required medications i.e. inhalers.

For the safety of all participants we ask that No Pets are brought to the event.


Will there be food and water available:

Yes.  There will be a water tent on the day and food available for purchase.


Can I bring a pushchair:

Yes.  This event is for families, however we like to minimise the bicycles and scooters on the day.

By entering the Marlborough Primary Health Rainbow Ramble, I agree, it is at my own risk, in all things including but not limited to accident, injury and any damage or loss of any kind to person or property.  I agree that none of the organisers, sponsors, volunteers or any party associated with this event shall have any liability, financially or otherwise, which might arise, whether or not by negligence, from any direct or indirect loss or damage of property or person which might be sustained by me or any party directly or indirectly associated with me, from any intended or actual participation in this event or its related activities.  I agree to abide by all rules and any requirements during the event, including instructions from race marshals, course officials or medical staff.  I accept there will be no refunds.  I authorise information given on registration and payment and / or my voice and / or image may be used for promotional purposes by Marlborough Primary Health.  I agree for the release of this information in any circumstance that the organisers deem it necessary in their discretion.  If under 14 years of age, I have parental consent for my entry and participation. I confirm I have read and agree to abide by these conditions as part of my entry.
